World Generation Instructions

Hey there, fellow terrarian! 🎮

To generate the world using this seed, you'll need to use terrariaserver.exe, which is included with your Terraria game. Don't worry - this is totally safe and officially part of the game!

What is TerrariaServer.exe?

terrariaserver.exe is a tool that is mainly used to host multiplayer Terraria games, allowing you and your friends to play together. However, we use it here at TerrariaSeeds.com to automate world generation. It allows us to generate worlds quickly without needing to run the main Terraria game.

How is this different than just using the in-game world generation?

This is a great question! The in-game world generation and terrariaserver.exe generate worlds slightly differently. While the terrain and caves will be the same, things like underground cabins, chests, and minecart tracks can differ. Since we use terrariaserver.exe to generate our worlds, the only way we can guarantee you'll get the same world is to also use terrariaserver.exe. We understand this might be a bit of a hassle, but it's a known issue in the Terraria community, and unfortunately, there's no way around it - at least not yet.

Here's how you can generate this world:

  • First, you need to get the location of where Terraria is installed:
    • For 32-bit Windows, it is typically found at %programfiles%\Steam\steamapps\common\terraria
    • For 64-bit Windows, it is typically found at %programfiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\terraria
    • If it is not in either of these locations, please follow the official Terraria wiki instructions.
  • Now that you have the Terraria folder location, paste it here, and we'll remember it for you going forward:
  • Next, let's open up the Run Window by pressing [WINDOWS]+[R], and paste the following command into it:
  • Then hit the [Ok] button to begin generating your world. It may take a couple minutes.
  • You should see the world being generated in the window. Once that's done, it will say "Server Started". Once you see that, you can simply close that window.
  • Finally, open up Terraria and start playing your world!

If you are having any problems, please check out the official Terraria wiki.
